Themes

Every Suite in FormWise automatically inherits the theme of the organization it belongs to. This means when you set a theme for your organization, all of your Suites - and the Flows inside them - will match that look and feel without any extra configuration.

How Theme Inheritance Works

When you create a new Flow, it automatically picks up your organization's current theme settings. This includes:

• The theme preset (color palette)
• The mode (light or dark)

You don't need to set themes on individual Suites - they follow your organization's theme automatically.

Changing Your Organization Theme

To change the theme that applies to your Suites:

1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
2. Open the Profile tab
3. Find the Theme section
4. Choose Light or Dark mode using the toggle
5. Select a theme preset from the dropdown
6. Save your changes

Your new theme will apply across your dashboard and all Suites.

Available Theme Presets

FormWise includes 24 built-in theme presets to choose from:

• Default - Clean, neutral styling
• Claude - Inspired by Anthropic's Claude interface
• Modern Minimal - Sleek and understated
• Clean Slate - Crisp and professional
• Graphite - Dark, sophisticated tones
• Mono - Monochromatic simplicity
• Amber Minimal - Warm amber accents
• Amethyst Haze - Soft purple tones
• Bold Tech - Vibrant, techy look
• Bubblegum - Playful pinks
• Caffeine - Warm coffee-inspired palette
• Candyland - Bright and colorful
• Catppuccin - Popular pastel color scheme
• Claymorphism - Soft, clay-like appearance
• Cosmic Night - Deep space-inspired darks
• Cyberpunk - Neon and electric
• Darkmatter - Ultra-dark styling
• Elegant Luxury - Rich, premium feel

Each preset comes with both a light and dark mode variant, so you get two looks from every preset.

Customizing Colors on Individual Flows

While Suites inherit the organization theme, you can further customize colors on individual Flows if needed:

1. Open a Flow from the Flows page
2. Go to the Design tab
3. Open the Theme Editor
4. You'll see the current preset as a starting point
5. Click on any color swatch to customize it
6. Adjust colors for backgrounds, text, buttons, borders, and more
7. Click Apply to save your overrides

Flow-level overrides only affect that specific Flow - they don't change your organization theme or other Flows.

What Gets Themed

Themes control the entire visual appearance of your Flows and Suites, including:

• Backgrounds - Page and card backgrounds
• Text colors - Primary, secondary, and muted text
• Buttons and links - Primary and accent colors
• Borders and inputs - Form field styling
• Charts - Up to 5 chart colors for data visualizations
• Sidebar - Navigation panel colors
• Typography - Font families and letter spacing
• Border radius - How rounded corners appear
• Shadows - Depth and elevation effects

Tips

• Start with a preset - Browse the presets to find one close to your brand, then customize from there if needed.
• Match your brand - Choose a preset that aligns with your organization's colors so your Suites feel like part of your product.
• Preview both modes - Check how your theme looks in both light and dark mode before committing.
• Keep it consistent - Since Suites inherit the org theme, your users get a consistent experience across all your Flows.
