Memory
How your AI Flows remember and recall conversation context.
Memory
Memory gives your Flows the ability to remember important details from past conversations. Instead of starting fresh every time someone interacts with a Flow, the AI can recall relevant context - like a user's name, preferences, or previous decisions - and use it to provide more personalized, helpful responses.
How memory works
During a conversation, the system automatically identifies information worth remembering. This could be things like:
- A user's name or role
- A preference they mentioned ("I prefer short summaries")
- A decision that was made ("We decided to go with Option B")
- Important context about a project or request
Each piece of stored information is called a memory. Every memory is assigned an importance score so the AI can prioritize the most relevant details when responding.
Viewing your memories
- Go to Notebooks > Memory in the left sidebar.
- You will see a list of all stored memories for your organization.
- Each entry shows:
- The content - What was remembered.
- The associated conversation - Which Flow interaction the memory came from.
- When it was created - The date and time the memory was stored.
Memory in action
When a user interacts with one of your Flows, the AI automatically searches for relevant memories before generating its response. If it finds useful context, it includes that information to make the response more accurate and personalized.
For example, if a returning user previously told your support Flow their account type, it can reference that detail in future conversations without asking again.
Managing memories
From the Memory page you can:
- Review stored memories to see what your Flows are remembering.
- Delete individual memories that are irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect.
- Clear all memories if you want a completely fresh start.
It is a good idea to review your memories occasionally to make sure the stored information is still accurate and useful.
Privacy
Memories are scoped to your organization. They are not shared across different organizations on FormWise. Only members of your organization can view or manage stored memories.
